Anne Malherbe ashamed to be Belgian.Anne Malherbe, wife of the president of Ecuador has said "to be ashamed to be Belgian" this was said due to the fact that today Anjelica and her mother (illegal refugees from Ecuador) will be repatriated today.
Quite a hypocritical thing to say.
Either she means she finds it quite normal that people have reason to flee Ecudor, orl does she mean it is only normal Ecuador does not have to care for its own people and allow them to have normal and happy standards of life, hence leaving the care for Ecuadorian citizens to other countries?
There is no one stopping the 'First Lady' and her husband 'Mr. President' to house them in their Presidential residence and to care for them there.
